Stoneware mug. This mug is hand thrown on the wheel, from a custom clay mix to give the beautiful dark toasted brown clay colour. The inside of this mug has been glazed with several layered glazes, giving a mottled brown effect, inspired by the banks of the River Thames. The outside of this piece has been left unglazed to allow you to appreciate the tone and texture of the raw clay. Due to the high firing temperatures used this does not affect the functionality of the piece.
This mug has been fired up to 1260 degrees celsius and is safe for dishwasher and microwave use. However to prolong the life of your piece I recommend hand-washing.
